Replace your old electric heating with a heat pump
Verde and Energy Trust have teamed up to help you save on heating and cooling costs. Get up to $3,600 off when you replace your old electric heating with a ductless heat pump (DHP). If the system costs any more than that, you can finance it through a community lender on your utility bill. Income-qualified candidates may be eligible for a free heat pump upgrade.
Eligibility:
- Your household income must be:
- Below 60% SMI (see chart on this page)
- Below 80% AMI (see chart below) if you are an elderly person, a disabled person, or a BIPOC person
2. You must own your home, or have the OK from your landlord for the upgrade
3. Your previously existing heating system must be
- Electric (either functioning or not)
- Oil (non-functioning only)
4. Your home must be within Portland City Limits.
