ElectrifyPDX is looking for 2-4 people to be community ambassadors for energy efficient homes.
ElectrifyPDX ambassadors educate Portland residents about powering their homes with clean energy and upgrading to efficient electric appliances. Ambassadors also connect residents with incentive programs, contractors, and local non-profits to help with these updates.
What Community Ambassadors do:
- Participate in a brief orientation training with ElectrifyPDX
- Attend local events to share resources (“tabling”) and/or give presentations on home electrification
- Share information in friendly, accessible and culturally relevant ways
What we are looking for in an ambassador:
- Enjoys talking with people and connecting people to resources
- Lived experience in a frontline climate community, bicultural and/or bilingual
- Interested in or has experience in home energy efficiency (or related field like construction, solar, weatherization)
- Available to work one to four days a month, especially Saturdays and Sundays in summer 2026
We provide training, outreach materials and support. This is an event-based, gig-style position that pays $35/hour for roughly 4-16 hours a month.
